Difficult Days…

There is not one person that has not experienced a difficult day. A difficult day may come in many forms; the death of a loved one, family complications, financial stress, work stress, or the combination of them all. The intensity of the difficult day is based off the individual and their perception of what is difficult. Although, is does not disregard anyone, we all have difficult days. Some are willing to share their difficult days, while others are more reserved.

So, what do we do when we encounter a difficult day? Well, for most of us we draw on our support. This support can be from family or friends, or someone with a sincere heart offering a helping hand. For those of you that have that are not aware, peer support programs exist for this very purpose, to help others during difficult days. A peer support unit is another resource that employees can have, not just in times of crisis, but also for those days when life gets difficult and you need a shoulder of support.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 states,

“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 ESV).

The feeling of being alone often accompanies difficult days, but please understand that you do not have to face difficulties on your own. There are those that are willing and able to step in and stand in the void. Please do not hesitate to reach out to if you are facing a difficult day.
